Bateaux Dubai, the luxury cruise vessel on Dubai Creek managed by Jebel Ali International Hotels, supported the Dubai Autism Center’s 10th anniversary by hosting the concluding event for its international conference entitled ‘Autism…What’s Next?’.

The main purpose of the conference, which was attended by health care specialists, education professionals, scientists and parents, was to highlight the latest research development, drive change and share experiences in the field of autism.  Accredited by the Dubai Health Authority, the conference featured expert speakers including Dr Cindy Hayes, Dr Charles Cartwright, Dr Jacqui Ashton Smith, Eileen Hopkins, Richard Mills and Amy Atwell.  The award winning Jebel Ali Golf Resort & Spa also lent their support to the Center by providing the catering for the conference.

“The Dubai Autism Centre is a much-needed establishment and I am completely in awe of what they achieve on a daily basis. The organisation has an incredible team of dedicated people who give their time and love without any reservation to these wonderful yet challenging children. My wife and I have visited the centre on several occasions and always find it humbling and truly inspiring; it no doubt plays a critical role in society for so many people. Jebel Ali International Hotels and Bateaux Dubai are absolutely delighted to be able to help in some small way and we will continue to work with the centre to support its children and their parents with the care and attention that they need,” said David Thomson, Regional General Manager of Jebel Ali International Hotels.

Founded in 2001, the Dubai Autism Center’s mission is to successfully integrate children with autism into the community through a holistic approach to intervention and therapy, together with efforts to create social awareness about autism. Over the years DAC has become one of the most innovative non-profit organisations in the Middle East in providing information, support, advice and training.
